Members of All Saints’ church recognised a need in the local community amongst all sections of our community, for a welcome and a place to meet. As we live in a rural setting many people are isolated and support is thinly spread and we want to offer a space where people could come and chat, feel welcome and begin to break down the barriers of loneliness. This is for everyone – families, the elderly and their carers, singles and their dogs…..

Held in the All Saints’ Church Community Rooms opposite All Saints’ Parish church and free parking is available.

The history of Mundesley Community Café and Larder:

All Saints Church Community Rooms Mundesley filled with visitors to the Friday Community Larder and CaféThe café and larder grew out of the need identified during the pandemic and built on the excellent work initiated by Eleanor Jones, Wendy Fredericks, and other members of the Mundesley Parish church supported by our then Rector, Revd Andrew Jones.

Their vision for a community café came early in 2017 when they noticed the need for support and friendships amongst the local community’s older generations, and for social environments which were inclusive for those with additional needs.

From this, we realised that many people needed an inclusive place where all were welcome and we could be a big family. So come, bring yourself, those you care for, your dog, there’s room for all. Great coffee, good company and fantastic cake…
We are grateful for Eleanor and Revd Andrew Jones’ vision. Through their experience of bringing up a daughter with multiple learning difficulties, they had personal experience of the complications carers can face taking their loved ones to public and social places. We hope the new cafe, an inclusive development of their vision, will bring support to those who need it. The café was made possible through fundraising on the part of many local businesses and charities, including The Friends of Mundesley Inshore Lifeboat, Mundesley Fish and Fry, Affinity Digital Agents, Trunch Village Store, Aviva and TESCO, amongst others.
The café hopes to host outside agencies like Age UK in the future to provide wider assistance to those attending the café.
